Brendan Ellis Williams joins us to share work from his newly published collection of poetry, Vestigia (from White Stag Publishing), and his scholarly essay in theology and philosophy, Rewilding the Soul, Resouling the Wild: Toward a Reclaimed Metaphysical Relationality (from Emerald Publishing).

The evening will feature readings of poetry from Vestigia (and a preview of some brand new work still in process), as well as a short reading from Rewilding the Soul, and a bit about Brendan’s unique poetic style, how his scholarship in ancient religion shapes his poetic work, and the Bay Area ‘Language Poetry’ movement by which his writing has long been influenced. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A and conversation. Books will be available for purchase at the event.

The Rev. Brendan Ellis Williams, CMR holds an MFA in poetry from St. Mary’s College of California, an M.Div from the Graduate Theological Union at Berkeley, and is presently a candidate for the Ph.D in religion at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. He lives in Healdsburg, and serves as chaplain at The Bishop’s Ranch conference and retreat center, as well as in private practice as a spiritual director, teacher, and retreat leader.
