Steve Cardenas

Steve Cardenas is a jazz guitarist who started his career in Kansas City, Missouri, and has been a notable figure in the New York City jazz scene since 1995.

Cardenas has performed and recorded with notable musicians and groups, including the Paul Motian Electric Bebop Band, Charlie Haden Liberation Music Orchestra, and is currently a member of the Steve Swallow Quintet and other bands. Known for his expressive and lyrical style, Cardenas often uses the natural sound of his electric guitar. His gear includes a Valle guitar and a 1959 000-28 guitar.
