The intimate space of an art song recital allows us to reflect on our romantic experiences, from successes to failures, heartbreaks to breakthroughs. This program focuses on female composers and poets, showcasing their work in English. Come join us in celebrating the essence of being human.

Courtney Miller has premiered works in opera, musical theater, and art song. She’s known for her exquisite recitals, praised for her delicate diction and captivating performances. Notably, she won prestigious competitions like the National Federation of Music Clubs’ Young Artist Competition and the American Prize in Art Song. Currently, Courtney is a Resident Artist at Opera San Jose for the 2023-24 season.

Pianist Kevin Korth shares Courtney’s love for chamber music and is a sought-after collaborator.  Praised by Gramophone for playing that is “superb” and “full of color and character.”
