Critically acclaimed and award-winning baritone Eugene Brancoveanu presents an enchanting evening of song and story- telling as he unfolds Schumann’s classic song cycle, Dichterliebe, and a collection of other pieces. Composed by Robert Schumann in 1840, Dichterliebe (A Poet’s Love) is the sublime setting of the Lyriches Intermezzo of poet Heinrich Heine (written in 1822-23), coming together in a 16-piece song cycle. Other program highlights include Finzi’s Let us Garlands Bring and Ravel’s Don Quichote a Dulcinee.

Eugene Brancoveanu has performed in some of the world’s most renowned opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House in London, and Teatro alla Scala in Milan. His talent has earned him numerous accolades throughout his career, including the Grand Prize at the 2008 Licia Albanese-Puccini Foundation International Vocal Competition and the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
