What Moves You? - Spiritual Reflection & Communal Meal

Wednesday, May 8, 5:30PM

Spiritual Reflection in THE 222’s Moss Sculpture Garden, with "potluck" dinner following.

(Bring a dish to share as able, but all are welcome to stay for dinner.)

What Moves You? is a contemplative experience of shared spiritual reflection upon a sacred text.

Join us the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. as leaders from different faith traditions within Sonoma County guide us based on the practice of Lectio Divina, or “Divine Reading.” We will hear a sacred text from the leader’s tradition in a contemplative manner, three times through. After each time, we will share responses and insights.

May 8th Presenter: Te Martin

Te Martin is a song-keeper and ritual artist. They were born on Ramaytush Ohlone land in san francisco and have been shaped by Ocean, Redwoods, circus arts, and theater games. They facilitate oral tradition singing classes and workshops that focus on song as a tool for collective liberation, somatic regulation, and ancestral connection. Te served as co-organizer of Thrive Street Choir in the san francisco bay area for six years, is a student of Gaelic song and the Irish bodhrán drum, recently launched "Murmuration: A Sebastopol Community Choir", and released their first professional music video and EP of original songs, "Water & Bones", in 2021.
